Acid Proof Granite Tile Lining

Chemical-resistant masonry using acid-proof granite tiles, 305 × 152 × 18–20 mm.

As part of a continual diversification programme, Tekpik Industries has innovated the use of granite materials for chemical-resistant masonry applications (acid-proof tiling).

Granite is a naturally occurring chemical-resistant masonry and is insoluble in many commonly used industrial solutions. Granite has desirable physical properties — high strength, low permeability and low thermal expansion. The granite material used for chemical-resistant masonry applications is called acid-proof granite tile; the conventional equivalent is acid-proof clay tile or brick. The size of our acid-proof granite tile is 305 × 152 × 18–20 mm thick.

Our acid-proof granite tiles play a vital role in anti-corrosion treatment of substrates such as concrete and steel, and have been widely used in process plants, DM plants, and water and effluent treatment plants in steel and other industries.

Typical application areas

  • Floors, drains and channels
  • Tank, equipment and pump foundations
  • Pedestals
  • Tank containment (tank farm area)
  • ETP tanks
  • Battery rooms
